Legendary Pictures has confirmed that the previously announced anime based on the Pacific Rim movies will release on Netflix in 2020.
During a discussion panel at Project Anime (via IGN), an industry event forming part of the annual Los Angeles’ Anime Expo, Legendary Entertainment’s executive vice president, Elie Dekel, confirmed that the series first season will premiere in 2020, with a second season to follow later.
No confirmation on an episode count as yet.
The series is a co-production between Legendary Pictures and anime studio Polygon Pictures, the studio behind Netflix’s own Godzilla anime film trilogy.
