Author George R.R. Martin has seemingly revealed the title of his Game of Thrones prequel. Martin was tweeting out the news we brought you yesterday that Naomi Watts will take the lead role in the series.
Buried in the text of his tweet were the words “Casting is now underway for THE LONG NIGHT…”. Could this be the title of the new series? Though none of the trades has reported the title it could be an exclusive from the A Song of Ice and Fire author. Or it could simply be the shows working title.
Checkout his tweet below:
Casting is now underway for THE LONG NIGHT, the first of the GAME OF THRONES successor series to ordered to film. HBO has just announced the first cast member: NAOMI WATTS is coming on board as one of our stars. https://t.co/n0XkxsJG03 pic.twitter.com/uNF5mjPNte

In other casting news the series has added Poldark actor Josh Whitehouse as one of the series male leads. Production on The Long Night (or whatever it ends up being called) is on course to begin in early 2019.
