Todd Phillips JOKER taps composer Hildur Guðnadóttir

Todd Phillips Joker is due to begin production next month in New York. Today a new rumour from Film Music Reporter brings us an idea as to who might be scoring the movie.
The sites reports that Sicario: Day of the Soldado composer Hildur Guðnadóttir will be taking on the clown prince of crime. Guðnadóttir is an accomplished cellist who has taken part in may film scores herself.
As a composer Guðnadóttir has worked on Baltasar Kormákur’s The Oath. She collaborated with Jóhann Jóhannsson on Garth Davis’ Mary Magdalene.
Joaquin Phoenix takes the lead in Joker and will star alongside Zazie Beetz (Deadpool 2), Frances Conroy (American Horror Story), Marc Maron (Glow) and 2x Academy Award-winner Robert De Niro.
Joker will be released on October 4, 2019.
