Now here’s a headline we never thought we would write. Second only to seeing Joss Whedon actually direct a Batgirl film. The Marvel Studios chief has been discussing all things Marvel with The Hollywood Reporter and touched on what ex-colleague Whedon is rumoured to be up to with DC Comics.
Speaking of a recent conversation with Whedon, Feige had this to say “He called. A couple months ago, which he didn’t have to do and was super cool of him and super nice of him. We couldn’t be more supportive. We want to see a Joss Whedon Batgirl film be awesome.”
Considering Warner Bros. has not formally announced that Batgirl is happening those are brave words from Feige. Look for Warner to announce the film once a deal with Whedon is fully finalised.
