Batgirl directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah have announced that the film has wrapped production in Glasgow. After months of filming, the cast and crew will now pack up and leave Scotland and move on to post-production on the rumoured 2022 release.
As you can see from the Instagram post below, Grace even rocked up to the film’s wrap party wearing her costume!
With the recent news that Warner Bros. The Flash being delayed to June 2023 doubt remains as to whether Batgirl will still release as planned. Given the presence of Michael Keaton’s Batman, it would make sense for HBO Max to move the film back to next year to avoid confusion over the post-Flash DC timeline.
Directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, Batgirl is written by Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey, The Flash) and produced by Kristin Burr. Starring as Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl is Leslie Grace. The film co-stars J.K. Simmons, Michael Keaton, Ivory Aquino, Jacob Scipio, Rebecca Front, Corey Johnson, Ethan Kai and Brendan Frasier.
