Last week director Zack Snyder celebrated his birthday by sharing some underwater footage of Aquaman. The footage from the editing bay on ‘Justice League’ gave fans their first look at actor Jason Momoa ‘underwater’.
Many understood the footage to be a fully CG recreation of the actor. Others were intrigued to know how the film would pull off underwater sequences. Now Snyder has taken to social media again to discuss the process.
Via is Vero account Snyder posted a photo of Momoa in a green screen rig filming the same sequence. Captioning the photo he said:
People are wondering whether he was CG or not. He’s not… hair and environment CG otherwise all Jason.
It will be interesting to see if the same techniques are used on the ‘Aquaman’ solo film shoot.
‘Justice League’ stars Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman and Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman. Joining them are Jason Mamoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Victor Stone/Cyborg, and Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash.
