It’s been a huge couple of weeks for comic book writer Tom King. Fresh off the news of his Batman/Catwoman series and his Eisner Award win for Batman and Mister Miracle, he’s now hard at work on the script for the New Gods movie.
King is working with writer-director Ava DuVernay and the pair has been singing each other’s praises on social media. King shared the below posts talking about their first week working together on the movie’s script and it seems like they’ve had a good time.
After seeing these I’m first in line for a “Darkseid is.” shirt!

What an honor, what a pleasure writing with this transcendent story teller. She’s out here changing the world. Grateful and mind-blown to be working with her to bring Kirby’s masterpiece to life. https://t.co/dvq5os86sW
