Overnight, Warner Bros. Pictures held its panel at the 2024 CinemaCon event in Las Vegas. As part of that panel attendees were treated to the world premiere of the teaser trailer for Joker: Folie à Deux.
The trailer introduces us to director Todd Phillips’ version of Harley Quinn, played by Lady Gaga. It appears that Gaga’s incarnation of the character is also an inmate at Arkham and will form a close bond with Joaquin Phoenix’s returning Arthur Fleck.
We know the film will feature musical elements, something which Phillips picked up on during his address at CinemaCon: “Music is an essential element. It doesn’t veer too far from the first film. We use music to make us whole, to balance the fractures in ourselves.”

Joining Phoenix and Lady Gaga in Folie à Deux are Catherine Keener, Brendan Gleeson, Jacob Lofland, and Harry Lawtey. Zazie Beetz will also reprise her role as Sophie from the first film.
Joker: Folie à Deux is currently slated to be released in cinemas on October 4th, 2024.
