Great news for DCTV fans as the universe is set to expand once again. In the season which will bring Arrow, the show which started it all, to a close we’ll be seeing a new hero take to the streets of Gotham. It’s been announced that Batwoman is officially picked up to series at The CW. There was never really any doubt this would happen but it’s great to have the news confirmed. It looks like a former member of the Game of Thrones cast is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Variety is exclusively reporting that Bodyguard actor Richard Madden is in talks to take on the role of Ikaris in the upcoming Marvel Studios movie. Though its said no deal has been signed Madden is deep in talks with the studio to take on the role. If Madden does sign on he will join Angelina Jolie and Kumail Nanjiani. As with all of our other Netflix/Marvel favourites Jessica Jones was cancelled earlier this year. But unlike Iron Fist, Luke Cage and Daredevil before it Jones had one more series left in it. Well Disney certainly likes to plan ahead. Tonight the studio has gone ahead and announced a huge release schedule which takes us right through to 2027! Disney has confirmed a whole host of release dates today. In amongst all the Star Wars, Avatar and Pixar news came a little surprise in the form of New Mutants. Whilst the movie is confirmed to receive a theatrical release, it now won’t be taking place until April 3, 2020! That’s almost a full two years after the movie was originally due to hit cinemas.
