The CW recently held its upfront press conference to announce the 2019/20 TV season. As part of that conference it was announced that Batwoman will premiere on Sunday nights in the Autumn, paired with the fifth season of Supergirl. Despite it’s near three hour run-time there’s still plenty of footage from Avengers: Endgame that we still haven’t seen. We’re not saying there’s a directors cut out there. It’s been confirmed that US TV network The CW will not be renewing its current streaming deal with Netflix. The CW and Netflix first entered their deal back in 2011 and it was subsequently renewed in 2016. The deal has offered Netflix viewers exclusive streaming rights to all CW properties, including the full Arrowverse slate, Riverdale and others. The deal was credited with helping to save the struggling network. Deadline has confirmed the The CW has now decided to shop the streaming rights for its upcoming series, including Batwoman, to other platforms. Writer-director James Gunn recently sat down with Deadline for an in-depth chat about recent goings on in his career. As well as touching on his firing and subsequent re-hiring by Disney for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Gunn discusses his work on the upcoming The Suicide Squad for Warner Bros. CBS has finally unveiled the title of its upcoming Star Trek series focussing on Patrick Stewart’s Jean Lucasfilm Picard. The series has been aptly titled Star Trek: Picard.
