Superman fans rejoice, tonight Krypton returns with its second season premiere in North America. The second season kicks off its ten episode run at 10/9c on SYFY. The episode, entitled “Light-Years From Home”, picks up where season 1 left of with Seg-El trapped in the Phantom Zone and General Zod in control of Kandor city. Lionsgate has revealed that its Hellboy reboot will be hitting home video in North America this July. The film will release first on Digital HD format from July 9, with a physical media release on Blu-Ray, Ultra HD 4K Blu-Ray and DVD on July 23. The movie released earlier this year to disastrous reviews and news of on-set troubles. The studio has failed to report international box office numbers but we do know that is grossed $21m in North America from a $50m budget. Friday will see the release of the third and final season of Jessica Jones on Netflix. With that release the Marvel/Netflix universe will draw to a close following the cancellation of all four solo series and The Defenders team up show. January 2020 will see Batman writer Tom King leave the main book and shift his focus to a new maxi series entitled Batman/Catwoman. King recently confirmed on social media that this series will complete his plan for the Batman character. Now the writer has teased the addition of a character from Bruce Timm’s animated world of DC. Overnight King posted new preview art for the series on twitter featuring a familiar scythe and mask in the background. Earlier today Square Enix and Marvel Games unleashed the first trailer for Marvel’s Avengers. Previously entitled The Avengers Project we finally have our first proper look at what to expect when the game hits consoles in May 2020.
