Over the weekend Venom 2 director Andy Serkis was awarded the Outstanding Contribution award at the star studded BAFTA ceremony in London. The actor/director is currently pulling a potential double duty as he directs the Venom sequel for Sony Pictures and stars as Alfred Pennyworth in Warner Bros. For the third straight weekend Sony Pictures Bad Boys For Life has topped the North American box office. The film faced little competition a new releases this week fell below expectations. Bad Boys For Life topped the box office with an estimated $17.7m this weekend. The film’s domestic gross now tops an impressive $148m, easily making it the highest grossing release in the Bad Boys franchise. A fourth film is now in development. Internationally, Bad Boys continued to perform well bringing in an estimated $30.8m and elevating the film’s international cume to $142.7m for a franchise best, $271m global total.
