Wonder Woman won big last night at the 23rd Annual Critics’ Choice Awards. The film won Best Action Movie beating off strong competition from Logan, War for the Planet of The Apes, Thor: Ragnarok and Baby Driver. Star Gal Gadot was also presented with the #SeeHer Award by director Patty Jenkins for challenging female stereotypes in media. Following the announcement that New Mutants will be moving back 10 months to 2019 we have more news on shifting release dates in the X-Men universe. Deadpool 2 was due to be released on June 1, 2018. The film will now hit cinemas on May 18, 2018. Moving the film in to May pits it against Solo: A Star Wars Story which hits cinemas on week later on May 25. Whilst Fox deals with life in limbo as the its takeover deal from Disney goes through there have been a few changes in the X-verse. This years New Mutants has found that its release date has slipped from April of this year to February 22, 2018. Whilst the party line from the studio is to avoid X-Men films overlapping in cinemas reports point towards more unsettling news. The Wrap is reporting that studio execs are unhappy with the film. It would appear that a fan theory regarding Avengers: Infinity War has been confirmed. The latest batch of set photos released by Just Jared once again show members of the cast recreating scenes from earlier Marvel movies. In the scene being films Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jnr and Mark Rufallo appear to be recreating moments from the Avengers Assemble battle of New York. The difference? They’re now wearing strange devices on their hands AND Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) is present. Fans will remember that he was not part of the original film. It appears that Marvel is finally listening to its fans. Variety has exclusively broken the news that the studio are actively developing a solo film for Black Widow.  Jac Schaeffer (TiMER) has been named as currently working on the films script. Though Variety notes there is no green light for the film naming a writer shows they are seriously looking at moving forwards with the project. Scarlett Johansson has so far appeared in six Marvel Studios movies including this years Avengers: Infinity War. Following a hugely successful run at the worldwide box office Thor: Ragnarok is coming home. On February 26 in the UK and March 6 in the US Disney/Marvel will release the film on DVD, Blu-Ray and 4K. The digital release will precede the physical release by a couple of weeks. Earlier today we brought you the first poster and trailer tease for Teen Titans Go! to the Movies. Now Warner Bros. has brought us the first full trailer for the movie. Due to hit cinemas in July we still know very little about the films story but there are some great laughs for audiences of all ages here… as long as you are comfortable with a fart joke. Collider is reporting that Deadpool director Tim Miller is working on a Kitty Pryde solo-movie for 20th Century Fox. Whilst the company waits to see if it eventually folds in to Disney they are forging ahead with their X-Universe. Miller is said to be developing the film with a view to eventually directing. Of course there is no guarantee the film will enter production as many developed projects do not. There is also the possibility that if/when Fox joins Disney they reshuffle the X-Men franchise to match its own needs for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We’ve known for a little while now that the Teen Titans were heading to the big screen. Following the successful cartoon series in the early 00’s the series was resurrected by Cartoon Network.
