A report published overnight via Deadline claims that Quentin Tarantino has pitched his idea for a Star Trek movie to J.J. Abrams and Paramount Pictures. Insiders on the exclusive story understand that Paramount is putting together a writers room to work up a script. Should the movie come to pass then Abrams would produce with Tarantino directing. Of course Abrams is currently busy prepping his own next movie: Star Wars: Episode IX. Tarantino is also currently setting up a separate project at Sony Pictures so it may be some time before his Star Trek vision comes to pass.

The CEW is gearing up for the premiere of Black Lightning in January. The show is due to screen its pilot following the midseason premiere of The Flash on January 16, 2018. Despite being from the minds of the Arrow-verse team the series remains set on a separate Earth. Producers maintain that during the series first 13 episode run there are no plans to cross over with the other DCTV series. After passing $500M earlier in the week Justice League has powered past $550M in its third weekend frame. Forbes is reporting that box office estimates show the film dropping a further 59% over the weekend in North America. The film grossed another $16.5M to take its domestic total to $180.7M. Justice League made another $35.7M worldwide over the weekend for a $567.4M total gross. China continues to lead the pack where the film has now grossed $98.5M making it the highest grossing DC Comics film in the territory. Warner Bros. has given us our first official look at Brenton Thwaites as Robin in Titans. The first live action series produced for DC Comics new streaming service which is set to launch in 2018. DC Comics has announced that its Rebirth branding will shortly be coming to an end. Following the release of the special one-shot issue in May 2016 the title has prominently featured on covers across the brand. Yesterday the publisher announced that beginning December issues the Rebirth banner will be replaced by a new design. Each book in the new DC Universe line will feature a sleek new corner design.
