Gotham has found a new Poison Ivy… again. Fans will remember that during the shows third season Maggie Geha took over the role from Clare Foley. Foley had played Ivy Pepper beginning in the shows pilot episode. When Ivy was touched by one of the Indian Hill mutations she was ‘aged up’ and the role was taken over by Geha. Warner Bros. just dropped a new Justice League TV spot via the films Twitter feed. The new spot features a few small snippets of new footage including a longer look at Ezra Miller as Flash. We’ve seen a couple of seconds of this scene before but it seems Flash will be getting slimed at some point after battling Parademons. Marvel Entertainment has released a new story trailer for their upcoming Spider-Man game. Very little is known about the game at this point but we do get a few snippets of info here. It seems that with Kingpin behind bars Peter Parker is thinking about hanging up the Spidey suit. When Mr. Negative begins an attack on the city Peter is forced out of his short retirement and back in to action. The trailer features cameos from Fisk, MJ and even Miles Morales. Disney/Lucasfilm has released a new featurette focussing on the director of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Rian Johnson. The director is currently putting the finishing touching to the film as we enter the final few weeks prior to release. Thor: Ragnarok opened this past week in several international territories. With its North American release coming this week all eyes were on Europe, Asia and Australia to see how the film would perform. Of course it did not disappoint. The film has delivered an estimated gross of $107.6m. A new rumour to come from the DC Extended Universe this week. The Wrap reported that Gareth Evans – director of The Raid – would be taking on a Deathstroke movie with Joe Manganiello set to star. Manganiello had been set to appear as the character in Ben Affleck’s directed solo-Batman film. Affleck famously stepped aside to make room for Matt Reeves to take over. With the change in leadership it seemed that Manganiello may no longer be a factor in that film. Now it seems that Warner Bros. have even bigger plans for Deathstroke.
