Director David Ayer has finally revealed what happened to Jared Leto’s Joker after this helicopter crashed in Suicide Squad. Fans will recall that shots featured in one of the trailers showed Leto with a partially burnt face wielding a grenade. It has long been rumoured that much of the storyline was cut from the third act.
Responding to a fan on Twitter Ayer shed some light as to the original ending to the Joker/Harley storyline.
After Joker dropped HQ from the help and crashed, Enchantress made a deal with him. He was going to take Harley home and be “King of Gotham” Harley stood up to him and refused to betray her new friends. The Squad turned on him and he escaped. https://t.co/unnOewEYBQ
