Although it’s not due to be released until 3rd June 2016 production is already getting underway on the sequel to 2014’s ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This time around the directors chair is being filled by David Green (‘Earth to Echo’)  who takes over from Jonathan Liebesman whilst scriptwriting duties remain with Josh Applebaum and Andé Nemec. Little is known about casting on the sequel but Megan Fox and William Fitchner are due to reprise their roles of April O’Neill and Eric Sachs from the first film. In sad news today it was announced that the upcoming ‘Batman: Arkham Knight’ has been delayed to 23rd June 2015 moving back a further three weeks having already been pushed back by several months. No official news has been given to explain the delay but to make up for the wait Rocksteady has released the following 7+ minute gameplay video entitled ‘Officer Down’ who features a mix of cut scene and gameplay footage taken direct from the PS4 version of the game. With the ‘Endgame’ storyline drawing to a close in the mainstream ‘Batman’ comics DC are turning their hand to the remaining members of the Bat-family to spin off the story in to a series of one-shots. Up first for release this week alongside its normal monthly release is ‘Batgirl: Endgame’ #1. This week saw the release of ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ #44 from IDW Comics and within mere minutes of release the word began to spread about a shocking TMNT death. Yes the panel to your left seemingly gives away that Dontallo is killed off during the battle of the Technodrome. When pre-orders for the June release of Rocksteady games final instalment in the ‘Arkham’ franchise ‘Arkham Knight’ were put up one of the first bits of info to come to light was that all pre-orders would come with a Harley Quinn playable DLC pack. Avid fans will note that there is also a playable Red Hood pack coming but details on that are still sparse. Earlier this week Walt Disney Pictures announced details of their first Star Wars spin-off film entitled ‘Rogue One’ and also announced that the upcoming ‘Star Wars VIII’ will be released on 26th May 2017. Hot on the heels of that announcement comes news that the previously announced sequel to this years ‘Fantastic Four’ reboot will now be hitting theatres on the slightly later date of 9th June 2017 in the US.
