It’s going to be another huge year for Marvel Studios in 2019. The company has its first female led movie, Captain Marvel, hitting screens in just two weeks time.
Before summer hits audiences will FINALLY have seen Avengers: Endgame which promises to be another game changer for the franchise. Following that Spider-Man: Far From Home will transition the MCU into its fourth phase in July.
But beyond this we have no idea where the Marvel Cinematic Universe will go next. There’s been no official word from the studio on what movies to expect in Phase 4. We know that a Black Widow movie is entering production in 2019 but beyond that is anyone’s guess.
Now Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has broken his silence on when the studio will announce plans for its next set of movies. Speaking during the Captain Marvel press tour Feige told ComicBook.com:
“As we’ve been doing for years, we aren’t going to announce anything post Avengers: Endgame or Spider-Man [Far From Home] until post-Endgame and Spider-Man. As you know as a fan, there’s a tremendous amount of potential and a tremendous amount of additional characters and storylines and groups of characters that we’re going to keep playing with. And again, that’s a testament to Marvel and to the amount of storylines and characters and amazing, amazing runs that have been in the Marvel comics.“
Captain Marvel arrives March 8, 2019 and is followed by Avengers: Endgame in April and Spider-Man: Far From Home in July.
