The lovely people at DC Universe have been doubly kind to us today. Following the promotional gallery for the Titans pilot we now have a gallery for the series second episode. Entitled “Hawk & Dove” the episode looks to introduce the two titular characters. There’s also another flashback to the death fo The Flying Graysons and plenty more action with Brenton Thwaites in his full Robin costume. The series pilot episode, also titled “Titans”, will make its premiere at New York Comic Con on October 3. The series then jumps to the DC Universe streaming platform each Friday starting October 12. It’s been a trying few hours for Superman fans. Earlier today THR released an “exclusive” story claiming that fan favourite Henry Cavill would not longer be playing the Man of Steel. According to the report Warner Bros. was keen on having Cavill appear alongside Zach Levi in Shazam! When a deal could not be brokered to make it happen it seemed to mark the end for Cavill. Further rumours pointed to a deal being unable to be reached. Others chalked it up to a simple scheduling conflict with Cavill out promoting Mission Impossible: Fallout across the globe. This fresh image of Grant Gustin in his new, comic accurate, costume teams the Scarlet Speedster with his future daughter Nora (aka XS). With Iron First season 2 now out in the world attentions are turning to the next of the Marvel Netflix series. Daredevil season 3 has so far only been teased as ‘coming soon’. We know that the press received screener copies of the first handful of episodes recently. That gave us a hint that the latest season would drop sometime around October or November of this year. Writer Benjamin Percy has confirmed that he is to leave the Nightwing comic series with issue #50. Speculation has been rife in the last day as DC revealed plans to take the character in to more long-form storytelling. Percy confirmed the news with a series of tweets thanking his colleagues at DC. Last week we saw photos from director Simon Kimberg teasing that reshoots were underway for X-Men: Dark Phoenix. Now thanks to fansite Universo X-Men we have a look at some leaked set pics featuring Sophie Turner and Jessica Chastain. There is absolutely no context for these photos. The CW has released the first promo photos for Arrow’s season 7 premiere. The episode, entitled “Prisoner #4587” is set to focus on the aftermath of Oliver’s imprisonment at the end of season 6.
