THR has today broken the news that Deadpool 2 star Zazie Beetz is in talks to join Todd Phillips’ Joker. Rumour has it the actress has yet to finalise a deal but if she does sign on she will be playing a single mother who catches the eye of Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker. During his Spotlight of Geoff Johns panel today the veteran comic book writers announced he is finally returning to a story which began in the DC Rebirth special. Batman: Three Jokers will be a three-issue series which will focus on the plot thread surrounding Jokers origin. In the Rebirth special Johns posed the question about whether there had only been one Joker in the DC universe. It was revealed that there were as many as three Jokers in existence. The writer/producer announced that his Mad Ghost production company will be bringing Stargirl to the DC Universe streaming service. A new report from That Hashtag Show has brought us some fresh news on Star Trek 4. Not to be confused with the Quentin Tarantino Trek movie this would be a direct sequel to 2016’s Star Trek Beyond. The report claims the film has hired director S.J. Clarkson (The Defenders, Jessica Jones) to take on the latest instalment. If confirmed Clarkson would take over from Justin Lin.
