The cast of Cathy Yan’s Birds of Prey is shaping up well. Overnight it has been announced that Academy Award nominee Rosie Perez has been cast as Detective Renee Montoya of the GCPD.
Perez joins the previously announced Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress and Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary. The movie will be headlined by Margot Robbie making her return as Harley Quinn.
Perez confirmed the news via her twitter account last night.

Birds of Prey stars Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress and Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary. The movie will be directed by Cathy Yan and arrives in cinemas on February 7, 2020.
