Today has been a rather excited day for trailers and we’re not done yet! Up next the second trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindlewald. This movie actually went first at the Warner Bros. panel today but it happens to be the least comic book-y of them all. This over three minute trailer gives us a much better look at the second movie from The Wizarding World. There’s plenty more of Young Dumbledore, Newt Scamander and the gang to see here. Keep watching until the end as a rather familiar name from the world of Harry Potter might just appear!…

It wasn’t just the DC Comics movies which held court of Hall H at San Diego Comic Con today. Godzilla: King of the Monsters also premiered its first trailer as part of the Warner Bros. panel. Starring Stranger Things Millie Bobby Brown and Bates Motel’s own Vera Farmiga the trailer has a lot to show off. There is of course the return of the Godzilla himself, last seen in the 2014 movie featuring his name. That film setup the shared Monarch universe which continued in 2017’s Kong: Skull Island. Hype for King of the Monsters is real given it will also be the debut of Mothra, King Ghidorah and…

Following the successful launch of the first Aquaman trailer (see it HERE) we also got our first look at Shazam! Screenwriter Christina Hodson is currently at San Diego Comic Con. Whilst promoting her upcoming projects Hodson was asked about Birds of Prey. Talking specifically about writing for Harley Quinn Hodson said that having a female writer working on the character changes “everything”. The writer goes on to say: “Harley is such a complicated character, she was created by a man and I think he did an amazing job with her, but she is flawed, complicated, has so many different angles.” Check out the full snippet in the player below. https://twitter.com/Variety/status/1020431324237086720 Follow us on Facebook, on Twitter @GetYourComicOn, or on Instagram at GetYourComicOn. Controversy has rocked the Marvel Cinematic Universe today with the public firing of James Gunn. The writer director of both Guardians of the Galaxy movies will no longer be working on the third instalment. A series of unsavoury tweets dating back as far as 2010 were spread overnight by right-wing bloggers in the US. Those tweets covered topics such as rape and paedophilia. Though posted in what Gunn says were younger and hot headed days the tweets have caused controversy. Overnight high profile bloggers and twitter users damned the director for poor behaviour. Despite apologies from the director earlier in the day…

Sadly we weren’t able to get in to the Young Justice: Outsiders panel at San Diego Comic Con today. The show proved so popular that lines circled the room in its entirety for much of the panels run time. Luckily for us Entertainment Weekly were there and have brought us the lowdown on all the action. Given the amount of time since the show was cancelled the trailer naturally starts with a season 2 recap. Once our memories are refreshed it’s time to catch up with Artemis. After spending some time on the emotional impact of the season 2 finale it is time to get…
