Filming continues on Spider-Man: Far From Home here in London. This latest batch of set videos confirm several of Marvel’s supporting characters will be appearing. Actors Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother) and Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction) were the first to be spotted. Justice League star Henry Cavill has landed himself a new gig: playing Gerald of Rivia on The Witcher! Netflix has been developing an eight-episode series based on the property for some time with writer Lauren Schmidt Hissrich (Daredevil). Hissrich will also act as executive producer and series showrunner. Veteran Game of Thrones director Alik Sakharov will helm four episodes of the series Alex Garcia Lopez (Game of Thrones) and Charlotte Brändström (Outlander) will direct two episodes each. We first brought you news of Mega City One back in May 2017. The series, still currently in development, would act as a continuation of sorts from the Dredd movie which starred Karl Urban. Just when you thought there was no more to the story of Incredibles 2 the film crosses another milestone at the North American box office. The Disney/Pixar movie has become the first animated movie in North America to cross $600m at the box office. Currently the film has grossed $1.16 billion worldwide which still puts it behind the mammoth box office of Disney’s own Frozen. Whilst it remains the highest grossing animated movie of all time in North America it is still a way behind the $875.5m that film was able to gross in international territories. The latest issue of Empire Magazine has a short preview on two of DC Films upcoming releases. The official Aquaman website has been updated to include the films credits as well as its rating for North America. Fans will no doubt be unsurprised to learn that the film will be rated PG-13 for “sequences of sci-fi violence and action” as well as “for some language.” All of the DC Films from Man of Steel onwards have carried a PG-13 rating in North America. Guardians of the Galaxy actor Dave Bautista is continuing his anti-Disney rhetoric in the wake of director James Gunn’s firing. The circumstances of said firing is he stuff of Hollywood legend at this stage. The studios decision not to rehire the director has left Bautista on the fence as to whether he will return for the planned Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
