Following a huge push by Marvel and Disney Black Panther has successfully been nominated for a Golden Globe award.
The film has been nominated in the category of Best Picture – Drama, composer Ludwig Göransson is also nominated for his Black Panther score. In the Best Picture category the movie will be up against BlacKkKlansman, Bohemian Rhapsody, If Beale Street Could Talk and A Star Is Born.
The 76th Golden Globe Awards will air on January 6 from the Beverly Hilton Hotel and air on NBC, with Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh hosting.

Black Panther is directed by Ryan Coogler from a screenplay co-written with Joe Robert Cole. Chadwick Boseman reprises his role as T’Challa/Black Panther and is joined in the film by Michael B. Jordan, Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong’o, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Any Serkis and Forest Whitaker.
The Marvel Studios/Disney film landed in cinemas on February 12, 2018 in the UK and Feb 16 in the US.
