Netflix has brought the cancellation axe down on a second of Marvel’s streaming series. Following last weeks cancellation of Iron Fist it now seems that Luke Cage will not be returning for a third season. In a joint statement released to Deadline the studios praised the cast and crew for their work on seasons 1 and 2: “Unfortunately, Marvel’s Luke Cage will not return for a third season. DC Comics has officially announced that Lex Luthor is coming to the Arrowverse. A very interesting rumour has broke overnight courtesy of FandomWire. The site understands that following high praise for previous appearances, The CW are actively developing a Superman series. Tyler Hoechlin is set to reprise his role as the Man of Steel in this years Elseworlds crossover which is currently in production.
