Deadline is reporting that former Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have signed a very lucrative deal to move over to streaming behemoth Netflix. The reportedly 9-figure deal will see them write, produce, and direct new series and films for the streaming service. Netflix confirmed to the trade it had won the deal but refused to share specific numbers regarding their new contract. Sony has reportedly tapped Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse producer Chris Miller, and producing partner Phil Lord, to champion the development of a Spider-Man TV Universe. According to a report from Deadline, Sony currently owns the rights to around 900 Marvel characters including the entire of the Spider-Man universe. MGM has released a new trailer for their upcoming animated reboot of The Addams Family. The cooky, creepy family are making a return to the big screen after a 26 year absence. It’s been a stellar few days for Venom 2, first the announcement that Andy Serkis will be taking on directing duties and now Michelle Williams has confirmed she will return for the sequel. Everyone is currently talking about just which characters from DCTV and movie history might appear in the upcoming Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover.
