Studiocanal has announced that Florian Zeller’s upcoming dramatic thriller, Bunker, will receive a Gala Screening at the BFI London Film Festival on 10th October 2026, ahead of its cinema release across UK and Irish cinemas on 19th February 2027.
Written and directed by Zeller, the film centers on an architect who accepts a morally ambiguous commission to design a survivalist bunker for a tech billionaire. The decision sets off a fracture at home, prompting his wife to question their 17-year marriage. Framed as an exploration of contemporary anxieties, fears, and ethical dilemmas, Bunker follows the couple as the pressures and uncertainties of an increasingly unstable world begin reshaping their relationship.
Led by a powerhouse ensemble of real-life couple Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz, alongside Stephen Graham, Paul Dano, and Patrick Schwarzenegger.

Behind the scenes, Zeller also serves as a producer alongside Federica Sainte-Rose, Fernando Bovaira, Simon de Santiago, and Alice Dawson. The London Film Festival Gala debut places Bunker among the season’s high-profile European premieres as STUDIOCANAL prepares to bring the film to wider audiences early next year.
