San Diego Comic Con is now only a little over a week away and all eyes are preparing to be on Hall H for Marvel Studios’ panel on Saturday, July 25. Overnight THR has reported that Kevin Feige and assembled members of the MCU team will not only launch a new trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, they will also announce that tickets are going on sale five months ahead of release.
There’s a caveat though, the studio is only opening earl pre-sales for venues with Infinity Vision, the large-format designation that the studio has announced for select Doomsday cinemas. The move comes as Disney tries to build hype for Avengers without an IMAX release due to Warner Bros. hiring those for Dune Part III, also releasing on December 18.
Whilst the trade notes that the final edit of the film is unlikely to be locked in just yet, the presale does include a TBC runtime for the film of 165 minutes. That’s two hours and 45 minutes, making it one of the longest Avengers films yet.
All of these plans are set to be confirmed over the next few days in the run up to SDCC and will culminate in the release of the film’s first full trailer. It’s fully expected that trailer will be shown first in Hall H and then release online shortly afterwards to help promote ticket sales.
The Avengers: Doomsday cast includes Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Joseph Quinn, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, Pedro Pascal, and Robert Downey Jr.
Longtime Marvel collaborators Anthony and Joe Russo direct Avengers: Doomsday, releasing in UK cinemas on December 18, 2026.
