A24 has debuted a new trailer for Eternity, the brand new romantic comedy with a surreal twist from writer/director David Freyne. The film, which stars Miles Teller (Whiplash), Elizabeth Olsen (WandaVision, His Three Daughters) and Callum Turner (Masters of the Air) arrives in UK cinemas on December 5, 2025.
The film is an imaginative and bittersweet romantic comedy about one woman’s journey to the perfect afterlife, and who she spends it with. John Early, Olga Merediz, and Academy Award® winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph (The Holdovers) also star in the film.

The synopsis for Eternity reads “In an afterlife where souls have one week to decide where to spend eternity, Joan (Elizabeth Olsen) is faced with the impossible choice between the man she spent her life with (Miles Teller) and her first love (Callum Turner), who died young and has waited decades for her to arrive.“
Written by Pat Cunnane and David Freyne and directed by Freyne, Eternity stars Miles Teller, Elizabeth Olsen, Callum Turner, John Early, Olga Merediz and Da’Vine Joy Randolph.
