    THE PENGUIN Picks Up 8 Wins at Night One of Creative Arts Emmys

    HBO Max’s The Penguin and Apple TV’s Severance were among the huge winners at last night’s first night of the Creative Arts Emmys. Celebrating the best of technical talent behind-the-scenes as well as several acting prizes for guest starring roles.

    It was another Apple TV+ series, The Studio, which topped the list of winners with nine Emmys, followed by The Penguin with 8, Severance with 6, Disney+’s Andor and Netflix’s Arcane and Love, Death + Robots each with 4, Prime Video’s The Boys and Netflix’s Bridgerton with 3 each and HBO Max’s The Pitt and Netflix’s Adolescence with 2.

    The DC series, a spin-off set in the world of Matt Reeves’ The Batman, walked away with prizes for non-prosthetic and prosthetic make-up design, contemporary costume design and hair design. It also picked up prizes for visual effects in a single episode, sound editing for a limited series and sound mixing. Composer Mick Giacchino also picked up the award for best score in a limited series.
