The current jewel in the Netflix crown, Tim Burton’s Wednesday, made a triumphant appearance at the Tudum events over the weekend. The series cast appeared alongside a show stopping performance from recently announced guest star Lady Gaga.
In readiness for the series’ return in August the streamer has now debuted the first six minutes of season two online for fans to devour. After mastering her psychic powers, Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) has been pursuing an obsession she’s had since childhood: apprehending the Kansas City Scalper, America’s most elusive serial killer. In a flashback sequence, we see 6-year-old Wednesday traumatizing her classmates with a vivid presentation of the cold case’s most gruesome details.

Joining in the second season as new series regulars are Steve Buscemi (The Big Lebowski, Boardwalk Empire), Billie Piper (Scoop, I Hate Suzie), Evie Templeton (Return to Silent Hill, Lord of Misrule), Owen Painter (Tiny Beautiful Things, The Handmaid’s Tale) and Noah Taylor (Law & Order: Organized Crime, Park Avenue).
Additionally Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo have all been upped to series regular status. New guest stars for the second season include Christopher Lloyd (Addams Family, Back to the Future), Joanna Lumley (Fool Me Once, Absolutely Fabulous), Thandiwe Newton (Westworld, Crash), Frances O’Connor (The Missing, The Twelve), Haley Joel Osment (The Kominsky Method, Somebody I Used to Know), Heather Matarazzo (The Princess Diaries, Scream) and Joonas Suotamo.
Wednesday season 2 will launch in two parts with the first batch of episodes arriving on August 6, 2025. The remaining episodes will then stream around a month later, beginning September 3, 2025.
