Sony Pictures giving us another new look at Danny Boyle’s 28 Years Later today with brand new poster artwork. The studio has also confirmed the film’s UK release is moving up by a day with the film now releasing on June 19, 2025.
The poster isn’t giving away too much but does put the focus on a rather chilling image from the film’s trailers. In pretty much every look we’ve had at the film so far we’ve seen what appears to be a temple made of bones. In our first look it seems this location has something to do with Ralph Fiennes mysterious character. Now this latest look has us wondering if this is perhaps a shrine to the millions lost to the rage virus…
Take a look at the newest poster in full below:
It’s been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, and now, still in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amidst the infected. One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily-defended causeway. When one of the group leaves the island on a mission into the dark heart of the mainland, he discovers secrets, wonders, and horrors that have mutated not only the infected but other survivors as well.
Written by Alex Garland (28 Days Later, Civil War) and directed by Danny Boyle (28 Days Later), the new film stars Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jack O’Connell, Alfie Williams and Ralph Fiennes.
28 Years Later will be released in UK cinemas on June 19, 2025 by Sony Pictures.
