BOOM! Studios has announced a brand new limited series, The War, from the pages of hit horror anthology series Hello Darkness. The which, which hails from Eisner-winning creators Garth Ennis (Preacher) and Becky Cloonan (Somna), will debut in comic book stores in July 2025.

The first issue collects parts 1-3 of The War, originally published in the pages of Hello Darkness, as an oversized first issue with 37 pages of story. It also features main cover art by series artist Becky Cloonan, and variant covers by acclaimed illustrators Jay Shaw (Evil Empire), Tula Lotay (Somna), and Trevor Hairsine (DCeased).
The War #1 will be available in comic shops July 30, 2025. It is available for pre-order at your local comic shop. Digital copies can be purchased from content providers, including Kindle, iBooks, and Google Play.
