The North American International Toy Fair is currently underway in New York and today we’re taking a first look at a very exciting collaboration between Hasbro and Playmates Toys. The two legendary toy makers are teaming up for a brand new line based on the classic Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV series.
Power Rangers remains one of the longest-running live-action series in children’s television history with more than 900 episodes aired to date across three-decades and 30 seasons. A globally iconic franchise, inspiring fans since 1993 with its action-packed adventures, teamwork and diversity. The Power Rangers story follows five ordinary teens chosen to receive abilities that turn them into alien-fighting heroes.
The first toys to be debuted from the line include classic “head flippin'” figures which switch between fully-morphed and human heads featuring each of the classic Mighty Morphin Power Rangers cast. Get a first look at the head flippers below:

The core Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Re-Ignition toy line has been confirmed for ages 4+ and will begin rolling out to shops in the autumn. The full first wave includes:
- Auto-Morphin Figures: With a simple press of the lever, each Power Ranger morphs from its teenage self to its Mighty Power Ranger hero.
- Combinable Dinozords: As the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers summon the spirits of their mighty Dinozords, they can take on Rita’s giant alien monsters and come together to form the Megazord. This combination comes to life when each of the five Power Ranger Dinozords are combined to build the Battle Ready Megazord in two modes: Tank Mode and Fighting Mode.
- Power Morpher: This Power Morpher comes with all five of the Power Ranger Power Coins and has over 40 sounds and phrases. The Power Morpher recognises each coin and unlocks each of those Dinozord custom phrases and sounds.
- Blade Blaster: Two weapons in one, the Blade Blaster starts as the Power Ranger Blaster and then morphs into the extended Sword that can be used in any battle. The Blade Blaster comes with over 20 sounds and phrases and includes lights with every blast.
