The cast of Spyglass and Paramount Pictures’ Scream 7 continues to grow. With production now well underway in the US, Deadline has confirmed another name who will appear on the roster of kills (or killers) in the latest instalment.
Hot on the heels of Scott Foley and Matthew Lillard returning as legacy cast members, Ethan Embry has now also boarded the production. Embry recently starred in Damien Chazelle’s Oscar-nominated First Man for Universal. Prior credits include Lionsgate’s Blindspotting, Last Seen Alive, Can’t Hardly Wait, Empire Records and Sweet Home Alabama. On the small screen he is known for roles in ABC’s fantasy series Once Upon a Time, Showtime’s Brotherhood and AMC’s The Walking Dead.
Alongside the returning Neve Campbell in Scream 7 is franchise staple Courteney Cox aka TV reporter Gale Weathers. They’ll be joined by, Filey, Lillard and both Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown, who also appeared in the last two entries in the franchise. Newcomers for this latest instalment are Isabel May, Celeste O’Connor, Asa Germann, Mckenna Grace, Sam Rechner, Anna Camp, Joel McHale and Mark Consuelos.
Kevin Williamson, franchise creator, is directing for the first time with Guy Busick (2022’s Scream and Scream VI) writing. Project X Entertainment’s James Vanderbilt, William Sherak and Paul Neinstein (2022’s Scream and Scream VI) are producing.
Scream 7 is due to hit cinemas on February 27, 2026.
