Earlier this week legendary director Guillermo del Toro gave select industry insiders a first look at his upcoming adaption of Frankenstein. Del Toro’s version of Mary Shelly’s horror classic is set to be released by Netflix later this year and now the streamer has debuted a first look image.
According to insiders, del Toro screened a teaser for the film at his base in L.A. According to Variety, the footage “saw Isaac’s Victor Frankenstein facing off with Mia Goth as a seemingly well-to-do aristocrat. It also provided a brief glimpse at Jacob Elordi as Frankenstein’s monster, towering over Isaac’s bed with long black hair, stitched-up gray skin and a glint of red in his eyes.”
Meanwhile Netflix has shown off an image of Oscar Isaac as Victor Frankenstein. The image (below) shows the monster’s creator holding a mysterious vial as he presents his work to room full of his peers.
Alongside Isaac the film stars Isaac, Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth, and Christoph Waltz. Further casting has yet to be announced.
Written and directed by Guillermo del Toro, Frankenstein will release in November 2025.
