House of the Dragon season two is almost upon us, with the first episode set to premiere on June 16th. Now that our return to Westeros has been set in stone, we’re now being asked to pick a side: Rhaenyra’s (Black team) or Alicent’s (Green Team).
To celebrate the upcoming release of House of the Dragon Season Two, which is looking to launch the two dueling sides into a great firery war, HBO released a bunch of character posters that build a perfect scene; the Iron Throne surrounded by those who intend to fight for it. On top of that, we also received two unique trailers. One trailer focuses on Rhaenrya, Daemon and their forces held at Dragonstone. While the other takes us to King’s Landing where Alicent, Otto Hightower, and Prince Aemond are busy at work ensuring that King Aegon stays on the Iron Throne.
Season Two will officially usher in the Dance of the Dragons, the brutal and bloody Targaryen civil war.
The Season One finale saw Aemond murder Rhaenyra’s son Lucerys, and it quickly ignited a dormant spark deep withing Rhaenyra. Both sides, Black and Green, are gathering their own strengths with Dragons and armies in preparation for the great war that is moments away. The board is set and the pieces are moving.
House of the Dragon Season Two sees the return of Emma D’Arcy as Rhaenyra Targaryen, Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower, Matt Smith as Daemon Targaryen, Ewan Mitchell as Aemond Targaryen, Eve Best as Rhaena Targaryen, Rhys Ifans as Otto Hightower, Steve Toussaint as Corlys Velaryon, Fabien Frankel as Criston Cole and Tom Glynn-Carney as Aegon Targaryen.
Newcomers include Tom Taylor as Lord Cregan Stark, Clinton Liberty as Addam of Hull, Jamie Kenna as Ser Alfred Broome, Kieran Bew as Hugh Hammer, Tom Bennett as Ulf and Vincent Regan as Ser Rickard Thorne. That’s not all… Abubakar Salim joins as Alyn of Hull, Gayle Rankin as Alys Rivers, Freddie Fox as Ser Gwayne Hightower and Simon Russell Beale as Ser Simon Strong.
