Another day, another awards show. Last night, Hollywood’s best and brightest walked the red carpet for the previously delayed Emmy Awards. Stars on the carpet included two of the huge cast of James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy and of course both were asked about preparations for the upcoming shoot.
First up was Anthony Carrigan. Carrigan is no stranger to the DC Universe having played serial killer Victor Zsaz on FOX’s Gotham. But in Legacy he will take on the role of Metamorpho, a character who has never before appeared in live-action. Speaking with THR on the red carpet Carrigan spoke about how he is preparing for the role whilst also remaining coy about when he begins filming.

Then it was the turn of our brand new Lois Lane, Rachel Brosnahan. We’ve already heard from her whilst attending the Golden Globes but this might be our favourite interview yet. Whilst speaking with People Brosnahan shared that she is currently “stalking my journalist friends” to get in to the mindset of Lois. But then, in a move which many will think is typical of Lois herself, Brosnahan takes the microphone from her interviewers and begins to question them about being a journalist.
She also shares that she and Anthony Carrigan had just shared a moment on the red carpet, seeing each other for the first time since their casting announcements. Will we see Lois and Metamorpho share the screen when the film comes to cinemas?
You can watch Rachel’s full interview below:
The film’s already stacked cast includes David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl and Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho. It was recently confirmed that Nicholas Hoult will take on the role of Lex Luthor.
Superman: Legacy is due to hit cinemas on July 11, 2025.
