Review
As the universe grows ever darker hope begins to fade, the different Rangers from the different time zones have been contained in prison like cells reducing the chance of defense.
Dark Spectre has his sights on Tommy, the White Ranger could he be able to get his evil grip on Tommy and do the unthinkable, Tommy needs to be strong – he must be strong!!
The infection is seeping its way through the many different dimensions and the Dark Spectre is close to seeing his plan come to fruition, however you know that evil can never win and although at this point hope does seem to be all but lost a plan has been made between the remaining free Rangers but this is a last gasp situation and they could well only have one shot.
To enable this plan to work they must reach the heart of the Morphin Grid but to do that they must reach the Morphin Masters, this plan may just work – it has to work!!
Melissa Flores has done it again, I was literally on the edge of my seat reading this as the pages went by my heart rate kept increasing. Since I can remember the battle between good and evil has been clear cut and good always comes out on top, for once this series has me completely thrown as much as I keep hope I just can’t see a way out, but as bleak as it seems I will always hold hope that the Rangers will come out on top.
Simona Di Gianfelice provides the eye catching illustrations for this issue bringing the darkness to the forefront with an almost chilling impact, partner that with the bold colours from Raúl Angulo and you have a masterpiece on your hands.
Verdict
I will keep saying this, The Darkest Hour is possibly the best event in comics at the moment an edge of the seat rush that keeps the hope in your heart burning but at the same time plants that doubt in your mind. If you are a Power Rangers fan or even if you aren’t you definitely need to get hold of this.
