English Dub Trailer For Hayao Miyazaki’s THE BOY AND THE HERON Shows-Off Stellar Cast
The English Cast has arrived in the latest trailer for Hayao Miyazaki’s THE BOY AND THE HERON.

A while back, the english cast for Hayao Miyazaki’s THE BOY AND THE HERON was announced, and it blew everyone away. In terms of a cast, Studio Ghibli have gone big for this one. Today, we received the first English Dub trailer, which finally gives us our best look at the cast. The biggest surprise was Robert Pattinson who is utterly unrecognisable as the mischievous Gray Heron. But we won’t spoil the rest, the new trailer is available to watch below.
From the beloved and award-winning animation house, Studio Ghibli’s latest triumph is a beautiful, reflective and engrossing tale of love, loss and discovery. Both original and English-dubbed versions will be available on general cinema release.
Synopsis:
A young boy named Mahito yearning for his mother ventures into a world shared by the living and the dead. There death comes to an end, and life finds a new beginning. A semi-autobiographical fantasy about life, death and creation, in tribute to friendship from the mind of Hayao Miyazaki.

THE BOY AND THE HERON is a hand-drawn, original story written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away, My Neighbour Totoro). Produced by Studio Ghibli co-founder Toshio Suzuki, the film features a musical score from Miyazaki’s long-time collaborator Joe Hisaishi. The theme song for the film “Spinning Globe” was written and performed by global J-pop superstar Kenshi Yonezu.
Miyazaki’s wonderous adventure will be released in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on Boxing Day, Tuesday 26th December 2023.
