Time to get our first look at a brand new series BOOM! Studios. The publisher has revealed a first look at Lotus Land #1. Eisner-winning and Harvey-nominated writer and director Darcy Van Poelgeest (Little Bird) is joined by artist Caio Filipe (Stranger Things: Tales From Hawkins), colorist Patricio Delpeche (Angel), and letterer Nate Piekos of Blambot® (The Seasons Have Teeth) for a timely look at the human condition, set in a dystopic, cyberpunk future that’s as grounded as it is metaphysical.
Vancouver, years from now. In a future painted with ultramodern decay, entropy has met its match in the Keeper Program, a breakthrough in cutting edge technologies that’s seemingly capable of miracles. When an attack on the mysterious program threatens the lives of everyone tied to it, retired detective Bennie Strikman is called out to investigate one last case…
The series’ debut issue features a main cover by Alex Eckman-Lawn (Dead Boy Detectives) with variants by Alex Eckman-Lawn, Christian Ward (Invisible Kingdom), and Ian Bertram (Little Bird) with Gus Storms. Take a look at each of the covers in the gallery below:
BOOM! has also provided us with a series of preview pages from the debut issue which you are able to check out below. But beware, this might be too tantalising for you to then have to wait until November to read the rest!
