Last night, the world premiere of Macon Blair’s The Toxic Avenger at Fantastic Fest in Austin left audiences cheering for more, and their voices have been heard! In response to fans’ incredible enthusiasm and demand, Fantastic Fest has announced encore screenings of this iconic reimagining take on Troma Entertainment’s 1984 cult classic.
Macon Blair and the Troma co-founder, Lloyd Kaufman, were in attendance to celebrate the reboot’s success. Their presence added an extra layer of excitement to the event as they joined fans in embracing the return of everyone’s favorite toxic hero.
The Legendary Entertainment production pays homage to the original film created by genre legend Lloyd Kaufman, and it’s safe to say that fans old and new will be delighted by the results.
The action-packed reimagining of the classic Troma film from director Macon Blair features an all-star cast including Peter Dinklage who will pick up the infamous mop to become the toxic hero that no one knew they needed (or wanted) as well as Jacob Tremblay and Taylour Paige with Elijah Wood and Kevin Bacon.
