I have vivid memories of experiencing the utter joy of playing both The Force Unleashed and The Force Unleashed II. Gaming has evolved in a major way since 2008, but it’s hard not to miss some of the simpler and smaller games we all enjoyed as children. Running around Endor drop kicking Ewoks, or using the cheats to play the entire story as C-3PO. There was so much to love in those games, but Sam Witwer’s Galen Marek- Starkiller, became an instant favourite amongst players and Star Wars fans. He’s actually one of my all-time favourite characters.
Originally known as Vader’s secret apprentice, Starkiller goes on to become one of the strongest characters in the Star Wars mythology. Players had the freedom to walk around wielding the full might of the Dark Side, you could even bring down a full Star Destroyer with the Force. It was a wild game, and I have been obsessed with the character ever since. The lack of merchandise for Starkiller was always pained me, but Hasbro has really turned things around this year. So far they have released a Vintage Collection figure of Starkiller which comes with that lovely packaging we’ve come to love, but the real treasure was announced at San Diego Comic Con…
