Aaron Taylor-Johnson is on the hunt in the first full trailer for Sony’s upcoming Kraven The Hunter, which is set to be released onto the big screen on October 6, 2023. On top of the new trailer, we also received an awesome poster featuring a comic book accurate Kraven. What’s interesting to note here, is that while the look is incredibly faithful to the source material, this film seems to be taking Kraven in a slightly different direction…
In the comics, Kraven is an absolute beast when it comes to tracking, hunting, and outsmarting his prey. He is a prolific hunter who sets his eyes on the biggest game, which eventually leads him to Spider-Man. In this adaptation, we get to explore how Sergei Kravinoff transforms from a young boy into the murderous hunter. Rather than hunting animals, it appears as though Kraven uses them and their abilities to dispatch whatever threat his Father sends his way, which includes Rhino.
Kraven The Hunter stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ariana DeBose, Christopher Abbott, Alessandro Nivola, Russell Crowe and Fred Hechinger. The next installment in Sony‘s franchise is directed by J.C. Chandor, with Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach producing. The screenplay was written by Art Marcum, Matt Holloway and Richard Wenk.
