Sony Pictures is heading in to supernatural territory this April with the release of The Pope’s Exorcist. Inspired by the files of a real-life Chief Exorcist a the Vatican, the film stars Russell Crowe and comes to UK cinemas on April 7, 2023.

Inspired by the actual files of Father Gabriele Amorth, Chief Exorcist of the Vatican (Academy Award®-winner Russell Crowe), The Pope’s Exorcist follows Amorth as he investigates a young boy’s terrifying possession and ends up uncovering a centuries-old conspiracy the Vatican has desperately tried to keep hidden.
Directed by Julius Avery, The Pope’s Exorcist stars Russell Crowe, Daniel Zovatto, Alex Essoe and Franco Nero. The film comes exclusively to UK cinemas on April 7, 2023.
