Review
In this issue we catch up with the ultimate super hero super group as the MMPR team up with TMNT to take on Rita Replusa and General Krang, however this time the evil duo have an unlikely ally in the form of Casey Jones as he takes on the “Ranger X” persona and pledges his allegiance to the dark side of evil. It must be brainwashing that has made his make this choice? But he seems to be pretty much himself, something strange is happening things just don’t seem to be adding up. Rita and Krang vow to take down Zordon once and for all the Rangers and Turtles must stop them, but there is also a threat destroying New York the Rangers must protect the citizens of New York but also need to save Zordon, they must divide to conquer but will this spread them too thinly? But was this Rita and Krang’s plan all along?
I am a big fan of the Power Rangers multiverse comics in their different guises, all have an intense action that keeps you on the edge of your seat, this story arc has to be up there with the best Ryan Parrott is producing some of his very best work to create a world that brings together two iconic hero groups once again. Giving enough page time to two iconic groups must be hard work but Ryan has carried it off to the best level with the two groups seamlessly coming together creating a super group like no other.
Dan Mora supplies phenomenal artwork that visually creates an adrenaline filled action ride that will take your breath away and leave you dumbfounded. Each page is filled with bright colours and highly detailed illustrations that inject an explosive feel to the written story that will blow the readers mind.
Although this arc is on a different shoot to the rest of the Rangers multiverse it still feels an important part of the overall Power Rangers world and you definitely need to get involved.
Verdict
An outstanding book that blew me away from the first page, the story is exilerating and the illustrations are mind blowing, if you were searching for the perfect comic then look no further as this is as perfect as you can get it.
