Review
In this issue we see the return of one of the most iconic super groups in comics, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers team up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to once again protect earth once again as a new mysterious threat appears.
After the mysterious disappearance of Casey aswell as Slash, Karai and Leatherhead along with some other of the Turtles most sworn enemies both teams come together to get to the bottom of this mystery, although they may not need to look to far to see where the answer lies.
I was looking forward to seeing this collaboration story and when I saw that Ryan Parrott was the writer I just knew the book was in good hands, he didn’t disappoint bringing a story that gives the reader page after page of heart racing action wit a storyline that has many twists and turns, I am definitely looking forward to the next issue to see where the story will go from here.
The illustrations from Dan Mora are very much in line with the Power Rangers stories I have pre iously read, a theme of bold, vibrant colours run throughput along with striking artwork that literally makes you feel each blow as it flies of the page.
At times bringing two iconic names together doesn’t always work but the MMPR and TMNT series works as if they’ve been written for each other with each side seamlessly blending together.
Verdict
A strong end to the year with this issue laying the foundations for an amazing 2023 if this is anything to go by, Ryan Parrott doesn’t disappoint and fans of both sides will enjoy this series.
