Time to take a look at another of DC Comics’ annuals which is releasing on November 29. Yesterday we took a closer look at the Batgirls annual and today it’s the turn of another Bat-family member, Nightwing!
The book features three stories each with its own creative team. The first story comes from Nightwing writer Tom Taylor who is joined by artist Eduardo Panisca, inker Julio Ferreira and colourist Adriano Lucas. The second story is written by Jay Kristoff with art by the same creative team. The third and final story is written by C.S. Pacat with art by Inaki Miranda. Wes Abbott letters all three stories.
Main cover art for the annual comes from Panisca, Ferreira and Lucas. A variant cover comes from Bruno Redondo. Here’s a look at the main cover:
The synopsis for Nightwing‘s 2022 annual teases only two of the three stories in. But we certainly think you’ll be excited to see more of Bitewing in action!
Who is Heartless? Find out who the villain is behind the platinum mask, and why he only collects the hearts of some victims and not others…and why he has no heart himself. Then: Bitewing: Year One! Follow Haley in her first year with her humans Nightwing and Batgirl and see how she takes a bite out of crime in her first year becoming Bitewing!
As always, DC has given us a handful of preview pages which you can check out below. Each of these pages comes from the Taylor writer first story in the anthology and does include some minor spoilers.
Nightwing 2022 Annual #1 comes to comic book stores and digital platforms on November 29, 2022.
