SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2 Home Release Confirmed

Get ready Sonic fans! Sonic The Hedgehog 2 has a Home Release date which means you can have the hilarity of Sonic on repeat. Every day. Forever. The immensely loved sequel, which is now the highest grossing video game adaptation in the US, will be available to Download & Keep on June 15th. On August 8th, fans will be able to grap their own version on 4K UHD™ + Blu-ray™, Blu-ray^™ and DVD. There is even a limited edition Steelbook that can be preordered right here.

But there’s more. When fans pick up Sonic The Hedgehog 2, they’ll be gifted with an hour of bonus features. In addition to that, fans will also be able to enjoy an all-new, exclusive animated short entitled “Sonic Drone Home” featuring Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles.

After settling in Green Hills, Sonic is eager to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero. His test comes when Dr. Robotnik returns, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search of an emerald that has the power to destroy civilisations. Sonic teams up with his own sidekick, Tails, and together they embark on a globe-trotting journey to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.

From the filmmakers behind The Fast and the Furious and Deadpool, Sonic The Hedgehog 2 stars James Marsden, Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, Lee Majdoub and Jim Carrey returning, alongside new additions Shemar Moore, with Idris Elba as the voice of Knuckles and Colleen O’Shaughnessey as the voice of Tails.
