BEAST: Idris Elba Hunted By Vicious Lion In Brand New Trailer
Idris Elba fights for his life in the chilling new trailer for Universal’s Beast.

Most of us grew up watching Lions that could sing and dance. Of course, we never really believed that they could, but lions have always been painted very differently compared to the likes of… Great White Sharks, for example. However, Idris Elba and Baltasar Kormákur are here to tell us a very different story with Universal’s Beast which is coming to UK cinemas on August 26th, 2022.
Idris Elba stars in a pulse-pounding new thriller about a father and his two teenage daughters who find themselves hunted by a massive rogue lion intent on proving that the savannah has but one apex predator.
Elba plays Dr. Nate Daniels, a recently widowed husband who returns to South Africa, where he first met his wife, on a long-planned trip with their daughters to a game reserve managed by Martin Battles (Sharlto Copley, Russian Doll series, Maleficent), an old family friend and wildlife biologist. But what begins as a journey of healing jolts into a fearsome fight for survival when a lion, a survivor of blood-thirsty poachers who now sees all humans as the enemy, begins stalking them.
Check out the haunting trailer below:
From visceral, experiential filmmaker Baltasar Kormákur, comes Beast which is looking to give audiences a well needed scare. The film is produced by Will Packer, James Lopez, and Baltasar Kormákur. Ryan Engle wrote Beast from an original story by Jaime Primak Sullivan. It will be executive produced by Jaime Primak Sullivan and Bernard Bellew.
Who will reign victorious? Man or beast? Find out when Beast charges into cinemas this August. What do you make of Idris’ next adventure? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
